Good Morning,
at around 7.35pm yesterday (Wednesday 13th of May), we sighted a suspicious vehicle on Springfield Avenue in Accrington.
Immediate Response Officers searched the white VW Polo and its three occupants under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971, however nothing evidential was found.
One of the occupants, a 26-year-old male, was issued with a Penalty Notice for Disorder (PND) for using threatening/abusive words/ behaviour or disorderly behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.
A second vehicle was searched and the black Ford Focus was seized under Section 165a of the Road Traffic Act 1988 for having no insurance.
